Trying to replicate the colors on the add at top of screen for the Tam Hetzer in 1:48th

Gang,

I am having a very difficult time achieving the look of the colors on the Hetzer in the add. What in the world are they using for the RED color? Please help.

Your art (model) trying to imitate someone else’s art (model) imitating a real tank?

Don’t model to look like others models would be my advice. Regardless how it “looks” to you, depending on how it was photographed, it may not be replicatable by you anyways.

Just go with Tamiya XF-64, flat Red Brown. and weather accordingly. If you definitely want more “red” then add hull red, available in every paint line.

I just saw the Hetzer you are speaking of and judging by the overall color scheme, the red color is actually German Red-Brown. Your best match, at least in my opinion, would be Model Master Signalbraun from the Model Master II line.
