Good morning I’m just curious if anyone knows any good webstores that are reputable? I’m trying to find a German super heavy MAUS tank in 1/35. I saw trumpeter made one about 7 years ago long before I started this hobby and am just not sure what websites I can trust yet. Thanks in and advance for any help.
There is a good number of stores out there. You’ll most likely get a good amount of input on this, but these are the ones that come to mind for me: Hobbynut, Sprue Brothers and Squadron.
Scalemates is a pretty good resource to find stuff that you’re looking for as well. If your subject is on the market, they’ll have the store that it can be bought from in the marketplace area.
That’s just my two cents.
According to Scalemates, these are the 1/35 kits of the Maus
I agree with @mustang1989 about using scalemates first for any new subject I’m interested in. The search function there is a little hard to figure at first, but it’s very powerful.
For example, here’s a link to search results for kits titled “MAUS” in 1/35 scale released since 2020.
It looks like Takom has some good options for you, depending on which version you’d like to build. Once you click on a kit you can see its release history, and then as Mustang mentioned you can scroll down to the “marketplace” section and see a list of vendors that carry the kit.
I also tend to look at Squadron and Sprue Brothers first. If a kit is long out of production or hard to find, I’ll resort to eBay but it’s not my favorite way to shop these days.
Here’s a suggestion.
I’ve used BNA many times, never a problem.
Just talked to the owner of a hobby shop I have been going to for over 30 years and he said it will be hard to find the model I want. The V1 there is neat but I want the one with the actual turret and 128 that was meant to be on it.
