I havnt got or built the kit but heres a build up on it

It’s a great kit. I got mine when it first came out. I haven’t touched it yet, no time, but I’ve seen two built up examples, and the finished product is quite up to par with the Accuate Armour release. The sheer size of the model is enormous. Make sure you read the two reviews posted above. One is a buildup article, and it outlines one of the major kit problems with the axles in the instructions being mounted reverese of the order they’re supposed to go in. If you start building this beastie, let us know how it goes.

Hey guys.
Have started building this this beast but DUDE what a biggie. Have not got very far but still plodding along. So back to it Cya’s
BTW I have read those articals and thanks 4 them…
Bye

Hope you post some progress pics of the beast. 804pieces, thats huge! [:)]

yeah man post some pic in if u can i like ta machine too just got hold of it two months ago

Did you decide on the piece being transported? Also, what about the colour scheme. In a recent issue of AFV I saw a really nice one painted up in an all white UN scheme.

Hey Guys
I have the trailer neally finished and i have to say What a job!!!
I a have some progress pics but for some reason i can’t upload them…
For the Load i will put a Marder 1A2 up on the back and for the color scheme i will go with the 3 tone NATO cammo and for the Faun i might just paint it a simple Olive Drab…
Anyway if anyone out there knows of any other colors let me know hey???
C’YAS Robert

Here is a pic of the tool boxes on the trailer…

The Faun SLT-56 is a rather old kit, my modeler finished it since October 2003. Here are some pics :

BTW, 804 parts of this kit is still a lot less than 1,140 parts of Trumpeter’s Leopold and 1,250 parts of Trumpeter’s Morser Karl on railway carrier. [;)]

Nice Pics!!!
Point Taken!

Wooty may see your point, but I don’t. Sounds like you are snubbing your nose at him and making his model seem like less of an accomplishment since you have a builder and he did it a long time ago. Also, who cares how many parts that your builder had to put together to do the Leopold or Morser Karl. I would be more impressed if you built the models yourself. I actually get turned off by all your posts bragging about how great your builder is and showing off all his models. Truthfully, it gets annoying.

I would have to disagree that 2003 would specify a kit to be “rather old”. I’ve had the kit since the day it was released here, and I’ve still not even begun work on it, and probably won’t for a while. Does that mean that the value of the kit is depreciated because I didn’t build it in the first month it was released?
804 pieces, by ANY account of measure is a LOT of pieces, regardless of the fact that there is one or two other kits that might have more parts.
I have to agree with Gino on this one. You should have posted the pics, but left the rest of your post out. The tone that you use, and facts you place belittle the rest of us who don’t have a builder doing all their work for them. I do enjoy seeing the plethora of builtup kits, as it gives me a chance to see the result of a kit, relatively quickly after it’s release, but this post was in bad taste.

BTW Wooty, there is an all white, NATO variant of this vehicle as well. I think it’s a lot more of a complicated scheme to do well, so I’d stick with the three-colour camo.

First Things First!!!
I wasn’t big notting myself by saying that the Faun has 804 pieces. I was just mearling stating the ammount of pieces it has in it because very seldom do you find a kit like it and it is the largest kit i have ever got. I wasn’t saying i am a beter person " Because i can build a kit with 804 pieces in it".
And secondly.
All builds i have shown on the internet are all my own builds and i can honestly say that.
And i think that alot of otheres can say that aswell about themselvs.
So maybe people on here (NOT MENTIONING NAME/NAMES ) should take a leaf out of everyone elses book.[censored]
And like i read on another topic on here "there is pleanty of other places on the net where we can get info from about models.[2c][tdn][tdn]
HAPPY MODELING
Robert

Your Faun looks great as your building it Wooty! Good to see you get psyched up about it. [tup] I don’t have the real estate for a beast that big in my shelf space!!!

804 by all measures is a big number.

Going along there pretty well Robert, I hope you can post more pics of your Faun soon, looks like an adventure of a build.[:)][tup]

I knew I should of got the beast when I had the chance. looks like anoyther order for great models. So far so good on the kit. Is that the PE that comes with the kit?

Hey Thanks Guys!!!
I don’t really get angry that easyly but anyway thats life!!!
