Excellent paint job, the colors give it a serious look.

The odd wheel arrangement gives the appearance of

Thanks guys. Yeah the wheel setup looks like a hockey player smiling at you. I’m going to try to get some better pics, these really stink. Sorry.

Guys,

remember, all E-type tanks, except the biggest one E-100, should have had their sprocket wheel at the rear because the motor section as well as transmission mechanism shoul be located together in one housing.

Advantages of this transmission design was simplified with respect to production, lower weight and lower manufacturing costs. So both, E-50 as well as E-75 show at the front an idler wheel with sprocket too, similar to Porsche’s Tiger ( better known ELEPHANT or FERDINAND ).

Presently I’m trying to change this for my model-kits and I intend to use those tin-made tracks by Italian Friulmodelismo.

So, best wishes and happy modelling

Melchior

I’m really digging this build. That splinter is perfect, just the right amount of light and dark. Inspired too, that sort of camo on a tank is a great idea. Thanks for sharing this. [H]

Now that is a great build. Nice subtle weathering, excellent and different scheme.

Now only if they made this in braille. Might need to check out Cromwell Models!

Inspiring stuff.

Wow guys. Thanks in a big way for all the positive feedback.[:D] I haven’t been on as much because my DH mtn. bike racing season has started, really busy. I thought this thread was all done, but to my surprise it’s popped up on the front page . I thought that I was done with this bad boy, but I’m still playing around a little bit with the finish.

This splinter camouflage is great ! Wow … a really astonishing idea and many will try to copy, I suppose.

Again thank you guys for all the positive remarks.[:D]

[Y][Y] Fortot about this build. I love it. The apint is great, weathering just spot on, and as mentioned, not overdone on the chipping. Lovely job. And given me somthing to think about for my host of paper panzers.

E-75 ready for coloring, the model is modified in a way to use an own made metal barrel for 88mm KwK L/100 oprional 105mm KwK .

E-50 still in progress … however I use the Tiger II late type of track links made by FRIULMODEL and a barrel of ABER (No 35L-08) for 88mm KwK 43/3 L/71 (late version) … and it fits to TRUMPETER model kit. However the idler wheel is modified wirh sprockets …as it should be.

next model may be: Panzerfähre (complete)
