I think the only kit I would consider spending that much on would be Accurate Armor’s 1/35 type VI U-boat and full Quayside dio base! That would be around $1000 I think. I haven’t gotten quite that insane yet either! [:p] [:D]

There’s insanity, then there’s having a death wish. My wife would absolutely kill me if she found out I was even thinking of spending $1000 on a kit! It was hard enough to tell her I wanted to spend $70 on Heller’s 1/100 HMS Victory. And when she found out I’d spent about $170 to finish up my $8.50 (kit cost) Tamiya Panzer IIF/G, it wasn’t a pretty sight!
