I’d say that Silly Putty worked very well. Your camo on that T-62 turned out great!
Looks really good! I need to pick up some more silly putty since mine is pretty old.
As long as it’s pliable it should work. I did have an issue one time with too much paint in some, it tried to dissolve on the model… but I don’t use enamels for second (or third) colors anymore either.
In the meantime, I started some basic weathering. I’ll hold here until the markings arrive.

Well, I had time last night so I just used markings from the kit and got on with it, beat up the tires and put the aux fuel drums back on.

I’ve kept the paint wear to a minimum up top, but it’s more severe on the hull sides since the terrain in the Golan is rocky.

Next will be pin washes and fuel stains, then a quick shot of flat clear and dry pastels. That should finish this one up, less figs. I have some Miniart “Middle Eastern” tankers that will work nicely.
That looks really good!
Saw a real T-62 today and it’s a lot smaller than I thought it would be.
Smaller targets. I was surprised too. They must have been horrible to crew in.
Weathering is moving along nicely. Pastels and washes are on, last step will be a light dusting to mellow it out as it’s pretty vibrant right now.

It’s been a while since I did something as heavily weathered and worn as this and I have to admit that I’ve enjoyed it. I have a couple of builds planned next and one will have to be “clean”, but the other offers interesting possibilities.
RBaer, your work on this T-62 is great. The addition of the mine roller just makes this vehicle look more menacing.

I enjoyed the extreme weathering I did on this model, especially showing the wear through the sand to the green.
The weathering on it came out excellent. Nice work all around!
