How good are trumpeter models? Im talking in detail and with decals also.
Are they as good as hasegawa or italeri?
They are making rapid improvement. I’d say, on average, they are better than Italeri, but not as good as Hasegawa or Tamiya. Like most kits, some are better than others, & some are very good.
Regards, Rick
As Rick said, some are better than others. I built their F-105G, P-40B, and (most of) F4U-1D last year. They all went together very well and there were no significant problems. I’m working on their A-10A right now and everything about it is an ordeal. No telling when I’ll finish that one because I get disgusted and put it back in the box for a while.
It is a hit and miss just like Italeri or Revell. On the plus side, they have subjects that Tamigawa does not.
Thanks a bunch guys
I’m building their 1/32 P-38L now, and am thoroughly enjoying it. Other than some minor fit issues, which only remind you that you are actually building a model, and as such, probably enjoy practicing your modelling skills, of which body-work/putty are definately required.
The kit has 300-something parts total, including P/E. So far, the detail is more than I had anticipated.
I would agree with the others that maybe the overall quality is not Tamigawa, but their newest releases seem to get good reviews. I think they are finding their niche in the 1/32 scale.
