For anyone who hasn’t seen the new kit, here are some pictures of an in progress build of the Karl Morser. The text is in japanese, but the pictures are amazing. It looks like Trumpeter put some amazing detail in this kit.
Is that the DML kit in grey next to the tan trumpeter parts? I think the trumpeter has a lot more detail, if it’s correct.
Yes, that is the DML Karl Morser in grey. The DML kit (like their Leopold) has adequate detail but is much easier to build than the Trumpeter kits (which have very good detail, but have a lot of small parts).
I have the Dragon kit in the process of being built. Boy do I feel like I got ripped now.

i just started on the leopould railgun by trumpiter, its an excelent kit, and this one looks as good. I dont usually do armoour, but couldnt pass on the leopould. I think I might have to get this one in 6 months when i finish the other. It really doesnt surprise me that it has that much detail, I built a ME-109 G-2 of theirs and was very happy with the kit.

HI, It does look like the Trumpeter model is more detailed than the Dragon kit. Very nice. Very nice moldings too. Looks like it’s worth getting, once I can get through Trumpeters big T-34s that is. Ha, ha!

Wow, thanks for the pic. I’ve been waiting forever for this kit. I’m probably going to be still waiting a bit for it, as it takes these things time before they make it up here.
I had a feeling that Trumpeter’s kit would be the better detailed of the two. However, Dragon is supposed to be releasing this same kit, with the railway carriers as well, but apparently it’ll come with the munitions carrier/loader as well.
Anyone have any info on this?
I suppose the price has something to do with it. DML is around 55-59 bucka and the trumpeter on Squadron pre-order is $140. I suppose you do get what you pay for.

I felt the same way ted about the Leopold choices…now if both kits were the same price, then I’d definitely feel cheated. [;)]
After the Rail gun I swore I wouldn’t do another monster like it.yet the Trump Morser is whispering in my ear!!! As I live not far from the park where it was sited while reducing Warsaw to rubble I suppose I just have to.Thats what I’ll tell my beautiful polish girl anyway

I hadn’t planned on buying or building the DML Karl Morser kits, but after seeing the detail on the Trumpeter kit, I may put it in layaway at my LHS. IIRC I think Trumpeter is also coming out with munitions and railways carriers.
