Found a picture of Trumpeter’s new Challenger II Iraq version on their website. The notes in Japanese said it’s a November release, and will sell for 2,500 yen ($22.72 US) here in Japan.
The notes also said this is a shot of the “test model,” and the production model may be a little different. We shall see!

first thing I noticed is that the front mudguads are too short - the gulf chally 2’s are fitted with lenghthened ones. Also those sideskirts look
pretty awful, almost like someone has stuck pieces of curled up paper to the bottom of the side armour. The rest looks good.
Dispite its inaccuracies, it still looks like a nice tank. Most of the little problems could easily be remedied with a bit of scratching, and nothing severe at that. It may be well worth the paltry price tag! As Brian said, we shall see…
I want one of those.
Skii, I don’t know, all the footage and stills of CIIs in Iraq have that curled up, ragged-out paper look to the lower parts of the skirts. What is that material, anyway? Canvas? Rubber? Well, let’s see what the production kit offers!
