Howdy. I was pondering about doing a German railway dio’ in the future (perhaps some Tigers being loaded onto some flatcars or something). Does anybody know if trumpeter railroad track will accommodate Dragon/Cyberhobby rail vehicles comfortably? Also, if I were to use a mixture of Trumpeter and Dragon/Cyberhobby rail vehicles would I encounter any problems with the fit of couplings, wheel shape etc?
Any help greatly appreciated.
I built Dragons Leo a cpl years ago, and was hoping to hook it up to Trumps BR52, but the axles on the Dragon are a little wider than the trump rail. So alas, Dragon wont fit on Trump tracks…not sure about the cyberhobby stuff, but since it’s from Dragon, I would assume not. HTH.
Ive got pretty much the same question but the solution to too wide of track or not wide enough is to cut it down the middle of the tie and either insert a spacer you can later finesse or cover up with ballast or some other material if its a dio.
