Finally got around to taking some images of this build, built late last year.
Jan Etal’s build log on Armorama is the best to see how he corrected some of the kit omissions, which I decided not to rectify.
So here are the pics.
Kit was painted with Vallejo paints followed by fading and washes using oils. Pastels completed the weathering.

I tried some new techniques (for me) on this build. Using yellow ochre oils, I added glazes (as opposed to filters) and also scrubbed in some “dots” in various areas to add more wear. It really worked quite well with a subtle graduation of wear over the model. I will be using this method from here on in for all my russian green armour finishes.
It would be worth trying with other green/drab finishes as well.
