??? Trumpeter 1/35 KV tracks question ???

One quick question for anyone who has built one of these. The rubber band tracks (not the link and length styrene also included) that come with the kit, are they made from a material that works with liquid model glues like Testors or Pro Weld? Or do alternate methods (hot screwdriver, staples, etc) need to be used?

i think the hot blade is better. i know i melted a small section of rubber band track on an italeri lvt. good thing i could but it in wet sand. my last 2 italeri pz1-bs had rubber band trcak but i worked the holes with a round file very carefully and have all 4 tracks holding together without melting or glue or anything. i read, think in the magazine, about making a track tool by hammering a nail into a wood dowel and heatsing the nail head.

stickpusher: I have glued the vynil Tamyia tracks together with ca so far its holding if you melt the connecting pins don’t use a screw driver its to big. Use the head of a straight pin it gets hotter quicker, than a screw driver blade. Just be carefull don’t melt to far or you may melt clear through both tracks.
