Trumpeter 1/32 P-38 on the shelves (in Japan)!

Went to the LHS today, and saw Trump’s new 1/32 P-38 on the shelves. Since this shop is one of the few around here that seals up its kits (they’ll open 'em if ya ask), I didn’t get a chance to poke around in the box. It was selling for about $97 USD.

Trump’s stuff usually debuts worldwide at about the same time, so all ya’ll overseas should be seeing it, too.

J-Hulk,

They’ve been on the shelves here for about two months now. The ones I’ve seen are right around $97 also.

ummm…can i borrow $97 from someone…anyone…[:I][:I]

seriously this would be an awesome build i believe.

Zoiks!
I hadn’t heard anybody talking about having seen one, and since it was a much-awaited item, I figured it hadn’t come out over there yet.

I appreciate Trump’s eveness in worldwide pricing, too. Usually the same everywhere.

OK then…anyone bought and built this new P-38 yet?

I haven’t seen one yet. Let’s see, I’m going to need another must have story for the wife. I’ve run out of original ones.

If I’ll see it for 97$ here in israel I’ll eat the box cover!

It’s nice to know trumpeter is selling thier kits for the same price world wide.
It will take this kit ages to arrive israel if arriving at all…
97$ will be transelated into at least 150-180$[:(!][:(!][:(!]

But that’s life here, thats why I’ve closed the buiseness with LHS, I buy only from the net. lifes a B****![;)]

The LHS got 6 of em in about 2weeks ago, anticipating a good demand for the kit. As of yesterday they still had 5 on their shelf and the owner is a little panicked that this is one of those kits that everyone talks about but doesn’t purchase. I looked at it in the box and it is awesome, but HUGE.

Lets see…$97 for the kit, another $50 for the Alcad II…OUCH !

It looks awesome, and I may build it someday, but right now it’s just too big!! I just bought the Trupmeter 1/35 Hind for about the same price. One big kit at a time is about all I’m going to be able to do.

Some of you might have seen this, but in case you haven’t, here is a preview of the P-38:

Hey J-Hulk,
Like some of the others here, I first saw the 38 at my LHS about 3 weeks ago!! it sure is a beaut[;)]. The price is in about the same ball park.
I looked over the review that Anthony posted, from Michael Benolkin. He seems to be excited about the release(towel needed) but I wonder how well of a fit she is.
I have dry fitted some of their 48th a/c and they need a lil fixen. Dont get me wrong, those kits were their earlier releases so these bad boys could be better. Again I too am impressed w/ Trumps molds and w/ such an aray of detail these kits will definetly look good built up.
The only way to find is to start their 32nd P-40 that I have[;)]. BOY cant wait for the release of the Avenger!!!
Flaps up, Mike

Between the 1/350 carriers and the 1/32 aircraft, Trumpteter is going to bankrupt me. [V] Why couldn’t I have been born rich instead of handsome?[:D]
