I just purchased the Trumpeter 1/24 Rufe floatplane on Ebay and I went over the instructions as usual before starting. The inst. state I will need ballast weight during construction,but I could not find where it should be placed or how much. Can anyone help me with this ? Thanks

When I built mine, I put two rolls of pennies in the float.
There are a couple corrections to make with the kit, if you want.
The rollover structure from behind the pilot’s head was not present on the Rufe. It is easily removed.
The trolly is molded without backs to the verticle supports. Sheet styrene will fix this.
The ladder supplied has two parallel verticle arms. Most pics of Rufes show the ladder to narrow as it reaches the top.
It’s a fun kit to build, and nicely detailed. Enjoy your score !
