Trump. LAV-25

Well I have completed my 2nd armor build, Trump. kit mostly OOB with a few adds. and it can keep my Stryker company among all my cars!![(-D]

WOW…not one reply?..is it that bad[%-)]…guess I’ll stick with the cars[:-^]

Just be patient, sometimes it takes a little while for people to get around to looking at things, and sometimes you just don’t get much reponse to a post. A couple of my first posts only had 1-2 responses and even those took a while. As far as your build is goes ithink that your model is to clean for what it seems to berunning through. That much mud on the tires and there should be some on the model too, up the sides and epecially around the back. Other thatn athat it looks good

Looks good to me. WWII, specifically German, seems to be the most popular subject on the FSM armor Forum, and thus, gets more replies than modern stuff here. Doesn’t mean that we appreciate it any less, just that less people have comments to add. The camo looks great, but I noticed that the part of the tires that contacts the ground is packed with dirt, while the rest of the wheel is pretty clean. Maybe some more dust on the wheels and lower hull would make the weathering look more uniform.

EDIT: Figures look great from what I can see, as well.

Looks like you did a fantastic job on your LAV-25, not to mention the great looking figures!![tup]

But I have to agree with basiltank on one thing, way to much mud on the tires. If their is that much mud on the tires then their should be a good amount of mud in the lower hull sections.

Thanks guys…the “dirt” looks to Red in the pics, it’s meant to be more of a clay/sand terrain but it should be lighter…this is what I was kinda going for in this pic.[8D]

No, no, keep on building armor. You did a great job at replicating your reference. I like it and didn’t realize how small the LAV looks in that last photo with the guy in the turret.

Huh, I guess I was wrong about the placement of dust. The model simulates the reference quite well in terms of dusty/mud. It’s odd that there’s that much on one part of the tire, but none on the rest of the wheel/lower hull, but you nailed the look. Nice work.

Yea I was surprised at how much smaller it looks when compared to the Stryker I built before it[8D]

My bad. Definately interesting dirt though, i find it quite interesting how the dirt only sticks to the wheels and not much else, just goes to show that there is always something more to be learned.

Thanks again guys…I always research my projects pretty well before I start so I have some direction to go in[swg] and on this I went for the simplest, since I’m just learning about doing this armor stuff[:D]

that looks like sand to me and thats probably why it isnt stuck everywhere, also you did a great job reproducing the look, im not a modern armour guy but what you have done looks well built and resembles the pic well, good job and dont worry too much about replies somedays you’ll get loads other not a peep

That’s wet sand in the winter. Remember it all too well, great job on the LAV.

Nice job…always loved those LAV’s ! I built the command version years ago…
