This aircraft was designed as a single seat, ship based Scout / Recon aircraft to be launched from Battleships and Cruisers. This aircraft theoretically was supposed to hold it,s own against enemy fighters.The first action for this aircraft during the War was in Borneo and later saw limited combat during the final weeks of WW II. With the development of the helicopter it was decided that ship launched Recon Seaplanes would no longer be needed. Name this aircraft. Answer by PM only. Do not answer " Was It ".
