Tried my hand at detailing the Saturn V from Revell

I reskinned the stages because the painted on markings left me a bit unimpressed. Added details around the engines. Scratch built the jigs that hold the stages in place from photos I had taken of the display in Florida at the Cape.

Here are a couple of closer shots of the upper stages

really REALLY nice work… Im glad I took a peek at SPACE in between armor and A/c. I built this kit as a kid, 30 years ago… some day I will try again, will save your pics as reference, job well done! cheers

Thanks for the comments. When you do get round to building the Saturn V again make sure you check our RealSpace.com. They’ve got fabulous Block II CSM and great decal sets for the Revell kit. You can also get good accurate drawings from them as well.

That’s really nice work. I was thinking of doing the same thing when I build it. I like the way it is displayed at the Saturn V center over at KSC. Much better than the one sitting at the visitors complex.
