Treehouse Diorama

Hello everyone. I wanted to post some pictures of a diorama I built of a tree and a tree house. Let me begin by saying I am in awe of most of your work! I enjoy reading your posts and I have learned a lot by what you write. I do not consider myself in the same league as you all, but possibly some day I’ll get there. I enjoy building fun off the wall stuff. I don’t build anything too serious as my life has enough serious in it. I model a lot with my two daughters who are 7 and 10. You may have seen a previous post I put on here of a tipi diorama my daughter and I built. We do it for fun, nothing more. This tree house was built using techniques I have learned here. The tree is built from galvanized wire wrapped with tape and putty. I learned this technique here:

The roofing was made using a technique I learned from Ken Hamilton’s article here:

And finally the idea for the tree house came from Daveinthehat, although his is much better:

Thank you to everyone for the help here are some pictures, I hope you enjoy them, your comments are welcome.

Some local punks have moved in!

Haha, I like it. That’s great, do it for the fun of modelling. Good job

Kingme, that turned out nice. The fun part is what counts. I had a lot of fun building mine too. I started with a stick and scraps from other projects. I’m flattered to have been part of your inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. It makes a change to see something thats not to do with war.
