I posted this question yesterday on the auto forum and got no responses so I’ll try it again here. Does anyone make plastic models of farm tractors? Allis-Chambers,Farmall,etc. And if so where do you find them. The only model tractors I know of are the fully assembled diecast type. For those who are curious as to why I’m looking for plastic models of tractors, well, I received my Military Vehicle mag yesterday and on the front was a picture of a 1944 Allis-Chamber snow tractor with US Army markings. Full article was inside. I never knew they existed. I thought it’d be kinda neat to scratchbuild one. I like the unusal stuff anyway and this fits the catagory. So if you know where I can find some then please let me know.Thanks in advance for any help.
I don’t know of any kits, but there’s nothing at all stopping you from grabbing one of those diecast jobs and scratching up any needed accessories and repainting it. A couple of years ago a fella brought one to our local show that had been made up for “rural” combat duty. Had a little turret with machine guns, camo and all. Completely fantasy, but a nice modelling job and it certainly sparked more than a little conversation.
