Tracks

I am building a trumpeter type 69 II mbt and it has vinyl?? tracks. The directions say to melt the tracks together with a nail, but i think that will ruin the tracks. Has anyone ever used these tharcks before and what did you use to gat it to hold together; does normal cement work? I don’t want to ruin my tacks so im not about to experiment.

Thanks for any and all help.

Here’s an idea… (read these posts)

This 'll work too. Very fine invisible sewing thread and a needle and some patience. Holds like steel.

By the time you carefully paint’em and add a little dirt, you’ll be the only one that knows.

Do blondes really have all the fun?

How you melt the vinyl pins is by touching them for an instant w/a heated metal object (wire, screwdriver, etc.) and then immediately pressing on the pins with your finger – it squashes the melting pin as well as cools it off and sets it in place. Hope this helps

Thanks for the help. I built one of these kits before and i over melted the tracks; it was horrible and i didnt want to go through that again.
