Tracks



If you look at the tracks they are of a very similar patern,yet they are not fitted onto the Tank’s the same way. I’ve checked Tamiya’s instructions and they are both correct. Are they?.[xx(]…Kenny

Those are two completely different vehicles you are showing there. If I were you I would check some reference pictures for each vehicle. Shouldn’t be too hard to find tons of pictures of Churchills and Universal Carriers on the Internet, Kenny.

According to photos in my Chamberlain and Ellis book, they are both correct in direction. Although they appear to have a similar pattern, they are quite different track sets with the Universal carrier almost looking like one-piece tracks.

The tracks look similar because they served a similar function. However the size of the vehicles was hugely dissimilar. The Churchill had its drive sprocket w/two rows of teeth mounted in the front. The Carrier had its single rowed teeth in sprockets set to the rear.
