I am a new kid and I am having truble puting on the tracks for my jadpanzer 4, they are plasric and in long and single links with no interlocking meck. any sugestions, PLEASE!!!
Which kit is it? Sounds like you have link-and-lengths. The long lengths are for the straight runs and the indy pieces go around the drive sprocket and idler wheel. They should have something to connect on.
nope just the wheels, the full model name is “Jagdpazer IV Ausf. F Sd.Kfz. 162” and is made by Italeri No 7028. it’s 1/72 so it is very small.
I’m not familiar with your particular kit, but I think Eric is right, you’ve got “link and length” tracks there. The instruction sheet should show where on the suspension the various sized runs go. You’ll probably have to glue them to the wheels and each other. Then paint them in place on the vehicle.
I believe this kit is a rebox of the old Esci kit. If so, it does indeed have “link and length” tracks (and the individual links that go around the sprockets and idlers are particularly small). The guide horns are more like miniscule pips, so they are less than helpful. The only suggestions I can give are to use a magnifying visor, trim very carefully as the individual links break easily, and use liquid cement.
is there an easier way? I read about vinyl extension tracks, or if i could put in on some thing to make it easier?
thanks for the tips. I think I have an idea now, I tell you how it goes.
