Tracks for StuG IV Q...

Bummer!

Seems like I’ve managed to order the wrong kinda indy tracks for my StuG IV. [banghead]
I’ve got the Modelkasten SK-27 Final model Light Weight 40 cm tracks, but I think I should have ordered the SK-17.

The SK-17 are for the Pz IV G~J, StuG III and Stug IV from end of '43 to '45.
The SK-27 are for the Pz IV and Pz IV J from mid '44 to '45

Would it be totaly inacurate to use the final model tracks for my StuG IV?
I hate to have to wait for the shipment of another set of tracks.

Any help here is appreciated guys…

Are the SK 17’s solid horn?

Yup, the SK-17 is solid horn.

Although the SK-27 Final model Light Weight 40 cm tracks are probably more correct for this particular AFV, I wouldn’t worry too much about it and go with the solid horns…the only difference is the SK-27’s have a “crimp” in the horn, which is hardly noticable, especially if the running gear is heavily weathered…I think you are good to go…I have seen a lot of refs of Mk IV J’s with the open and solid horn when they “should” have had the lightweight version…

I agree with MR, you’re not going to have a problem using SK-27 tracks on a StuG IV. Given the fact that they were produced up to the end of the war, it’s not unlikely that some would’ve used this type of track.

Thanx for the answers guys, I’ll just go along with my SK-27 Light weight 40 cm tracks. [tup]
Hopefully my my backordered PE from Internethobbies will arrive soon too.
