Tracks for 1/72 armour?

Question,
I’m an armour person. Mostly 1/35 stuff. Currently I’m doing a Revell half track. Long story short, the tracks that come with the kit need help. Can anyone give me direction as to whom might provide 1/72 “after-market” tracks at a reasonable price? marine67

This would be good to know as I’ve got a King Tiger in 1/72 that could stand to have some new treads on it (or have someone who knows what they’re doing work on it!)

Im taking it you have no clue what your doing garyfo??? lol just kidding. I would also like to know as I have a few 1/72 scale models that need better tracks… PzKpfw III, PzKpfw IV, Stug IV… so on

I’ve seen several Eduard PE sets of track for 1/72 scale vehicle. If you check www.eduard.cz you can search for 1/72 scale armor PE sets. The ones I have seen in the hobby shop are a set for the Revell Cromwell and Revell PzKpfw III. I was curious if the Pz III tracks could be used on the PzKpfw IV, but I doubt it.

The Pz III set fold inwards to make hollow center guides, looks like they would be neat to try.

Thank you one and all for your responses. Rob, no luck contacting Eduard. Its hard too believe other companies don’t take an interest in after-market stuff for 1/72 . I was under the impression 1/72 armour was back in vogue! Marine 67

The PE tracks are made by PART, not Eduard. You can find them at www.rollmodels.com
BTW I’ve seen them, and if you’re not an expert at PE, it could be a problem. they look real scary.

For a possibly cheaper option, and the added bonus of lots of extra bits for future projects, get the later Revell Pz III and IV kits and rob them of their tracks. They are in hard plastic, and come in a number of longer sections, smaller ones and individual links. Their King Tiger probably has that same system. Their Panther AusfD/A and their G have.
