Finishing one of my first tank models…my reference photos have the end of the tow cables attached to large utility “hook” on front of T-34 and wrapping around side of hull…presumabley attached to another fixture on the hull. Are they secured with bailing wire or something? Surely it would jostle off if simply hung on a protrusion.
Most T-34s have heavy wire hoops welded to the running boards on right side of the vehicle for stowing the tow cables. From the photos I have, the cables appear to be held to these “U” shaped hoops with a strap of some sort. Some vehicles have brackets welded on for this purpose, similar to the German’s style. Most of the photos just show the cables hooked around the front towing shackles and the cables are tucked through a grab handle, behind the tool boxes or into the brackets for the auxiliary fuel tanks.
