Topicality debatable...

[#oops] Hi all this is totally off topic, but I couldn’t resist. [#oops]

For all the happily married out there and all the lovely wives, I deny all responsibility for this, random electrons left it in my mail box, and in the spirit of the FSM sharing community, and being eco-friendly, “RECYCLE those electrons”, I thought I’d leave it here for further use.

My ex-wife started taking flying lessons about the time our divorce started and she got her license shortly before our divorce was final, later that same year. Yesterday afternoon I got a phone call, that she narrowly escaped injury in the aircraft she was piloting. Seems she was forced to make an emergency landing because of bad weather. Thank God the kids weren’t with her.
The FAA issued a preliminary report, citing pilot error: She was flying a single engine aircraft in IFR (instrument flight rating) conditions, while only having obtained a VFR (visual flight rating) rating.
The absence of a post-crash fire was likely due to insufficient fuel on board. No one on the ground was injured.
The photograph below was taken at the scene to show the extent of damage to her aircraft. She was really lucky.

Go on admit it, you’re [:D]
All the best,
Mick C.

[:D][:D][:D] off topic or not thats funny in my opinion,is that the new swiffer quick jet?

I think she stole my daughter-in-laws broom

Not only that, but those particular brooms are no longer rated as air-worthy by both the FAA and WAA……

[:-,]

(WAA: Wiccan Aviation Authority)

Having been fortunate to enjoy 44 years of marital bliss, I do have a certain level of difficulty relating to this story. However, being a certified, charter member of the “Dirty Ol’ Men’s Club”, I can also understand and appreciate the humor involved.

A few questions about the accident aircraft:

  1. Does it have retractable landing gear?

  2. Is it supposed to have a false canopy on the bottom?

  3. Do the flaps bleed down after hydraulic pressure is lost?

  4. When is Hasegawa or Trumpeter going to come out with a 1/48 or /132 model?
