Top 10 TV aircraft

Need some help to finish this list. Here is what I have come up with.

  1. Cutter’ Goose (Tale of the Gold Monkey)

  2. Cessna 310 (Skyking)

  3. Bell 430(?) (Airwolf)

  4. Silkorsly S-58t (Riptide)

  5. Hughes 500 (Magnum P.I.)

  6. Corsair F4U (Black Sheep Squadron)

I am drawing a blank after this.

What about:

Bell 47- MASH

Bell 47 again-Skippy the Bush Kangaroo (sorry classic Oz show!)

From the Archives…

Mirage III - Eng. title. The Aeronauts, French Title, Les Chevaliers du ciel, (The Knights of the Sky) (1967-69)
Avro Lancaster - The Pathfinders (1972)

Here’s another oddball…

GAF Nomad - The Flying Doctors (another Aussie series)

More recent…

F14 Tomcat - frequently appeared on JAG
F18 Hornet - frequently appeared on Pensacola: Wings of Gold
UH-1 Iroquois - frequently appeared in “Vietnam era” TV series - eg.China Beach, Tour of Duty

Boeing B-52 Stratofortress- Dr. Strangelove & how I learned to stop woring and love the atomic Bomd (i think that was the complete title i may be wrong though)

Definitley a Tomcat, its being in Top Gun and featured in many a series.

Will

Oh and Death, I love MAS*H

Will

How about Blue Thunder, I think that was a modified Gazelle.

Heavily modified Puma’s portraing Mi-24 Hind’s can also been seen in several films and series.

how about the modified at-6s made up to be japanese zeros in black sheep squadron and don’t forget the varios aircraft that were in the show “call to glory” i can think of several a/c (century series and so forth)

B-17 Twelve O’Clock High

Grumman Goose(?) from Fantasy Island - “Da plane, Boss, da plane!”

Brian [C):-)]

Centerdeck;

#3 is actually a Bell 222 for Airwolf

can’t forget

F-14 Tomcat (Top Gun, JAG, NCIS)

SR-71 Habu (Call of Glory)

F-4J Phantom II (O’Hara: US Tresury)

LearJet 45 (Miami Vice)

Ford Tri-Motor from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!

Wonder Woman’s invisible jet would be an easy build

How about the old Stearman that has turned up occassionally. I’ve seen a Stearman in shows such as The Adventures of Lois and Clark and films like Independence day. DC3’s have popped up a lot over the years. Not to mention Spitfires and P40’s.

I wansn’t really thinking about including planes from movies, but since you brought it up…

I’ll put in a plug for Always. Yes, I know, it’s a chick flick, but it does have (I could be wrong here) an A-26, a PBY, and a Cessna 337. Another plus, if your gf/wife is in the mood for a chick flick, this one is watchable. I mean, it has John Goodman so it can be justified.

blue thunder, the old super chopper that had it all

Bell 47-Whirlybirds
Stearman PT-17 -JAG ( a couple of episodes)
Learjet -(Burke’s Law)
Benson Gyrocopters (Garrison’s Gorillas)
Cessna Bobcat (Sky King’s early episodes)
Several pretty obscure ones on my list; there are others

Smiles everyone…Smiles!

Snoopys’ dog house- Charlie Brown TV specials…[8D]

Also Rat Patrol and Combat had the ocassional (sic?) straffing of a 109/190 (or hollywood equivulant)…[8D]
