Todays loot from the hobby store.

During my lunch break I drove downtown to the LHS just to kill some time and I spotted this sweet 251.

Lots of options on this thing. Being the 251 freak that I am I had to snatch it up. (So what if Im eating Ramen noodles for the next week?)
So far I am impressed. Any one else have any experience with this kit? I think Im going to go for the pioneerpanzerwagon version.

Yeah I bought the same one last week. Its great huh?? The box is just jammed full of goodies!!

I have a couple other projects that I have told myself I have to finish before I dive into that one.

I am going to build the pioneerpanzerwagon too.

Have heard nothing but kudos about it. I want the D version myself. Have fun with it and post them pics.

It is loaded with stuff, When I took all my sprues out to inspect them, I couldn’t get the box lid to fit back on! Can wait to get this one started. But first, must stop joining the GBs!

Yeah I was kicked out of the LHS for drooling on the box. I cant believe all the extra equipment added, and figs. Yes it’s true the wife will kill me.[B)]

I got one and have started building the pak 37 version. it’s an awesome kit.

Got mine a couple of weeks ago. If I can fit it in between the 7 or 8 group builds I signed up for, I’ll get started on it as soon as I can.

I’m about half way through my build of the 251, and I am using some Voyager PE aftermarket pieces. The thing is a dream to work on, unfortunately my work schedule is a nightmare, so you will probably finish before me!!!

I wanted to build the pioneer version, with all of the extra goodies, I can hardly resist! But the gun is fabulous so I am going blend the two, much like the box art and if it is not historically accurate at least it will be a blast to build!!!

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!!!

Excellent choice. I got that same kit myself, and it is a very full box. My only reservation was the fact that the other 3-in-1 251 comes with their EZ links, while this one does not.

Yeah this thing is crammed with lots of goodies. Its a shame that I wont be using the Pak 37. I must use it in a separate project, Any ideas? Anybody know of any aftermarket stuff for this kit? (As if it didnt come with enough already!)
My next problem is weather to add the assault bridges or the canopy top…Hmm choices!
Updates to follow…

Voyager makes a PE set that includes lots of hold downs, jerry and ammo cans, treadplate floor and a lot more. www.hobbyeasy carries it as set PE35019. Verlinden makes an AM set with an engine, but it is a little more pricey. Eduard 35688 also can be used with this model. I seem to recall a couple of other sets, but I can’t find any notes on them.

I purchased the Voyager set and got them from Hong Kong to Ohio, USA in just about 14 days.

If anyone else knows of other sets, please post them because I too am looking for everything on this build!!!

Oh, that’s a great kit. So many extras for so little a price.

I have it, and the version, i have confirmed on the front of the box did exist at one point, although, i don’t remember where the pic is on the web, and therefore cannot identify the hull type…i think that version, though, was riveted, not welded like on the box…I think that will be the next build after my helo, and Maus is done…maybe I will do one assisting my maus…i kinda want to have it with the track disconnected, and some guys wondering how to drag the 100lbs track links into place…
