Today's efforts - Shades required before opening post!

This build is getting a little different. This is a projected Winter 1946 Korean Peninsula scheme. Masks were cut from layered masking tape with about 12 basic patterns.

My theory is that this baby has little to worry about in the air but must be concerned with blending on the ground more than anything.
Still have some touch-up to do with the pattern and some other items (loadout) to deal with but it is coming along very nicely.

Yikes Swanny, I think I would have had nightmares about applying that paint scheme, makes me cringe just thinkin’ about all the work you put in to it. Looks good though,…very good actually. It really gets your attention, but isn’t that what camo is not supposed to do?[:P] Anyway… looks great man.

Great work, Swanny! Looking forward to the finished product. Thanks for sharing.

wow thats way sweet Swanny. How many of each mask you cut???

Way too many to count, I’ll tell you that for nothing.

LOL. looks like a freakin’ christmas tree matt!!! just teasin’, thats gonna turn out to be one heck of a finish knowin’ you swanny.[tup] cant wait to see the end product. later.

All I got to say is wow, beutifull build my friend, but um…not to sound like an idiot here but since I do almost entirly prop aircraft, an it seem to be a jet? what airplane is it?

Swanny, that plane in your sig is the best looking model ive ever seen, best looking paintjob ive ever seen on any real life plane or model. Thats so nice.

Crazy paintjob for the new plane too!

Man…now I see spots before my eyes…white jagged spots. Should of listen.

Always liked that bird and your build and conversion is very interesting to say the least. I continue to be amazed at the work you put out, keep it up and keep posting pictures as the doctor says the eye damage is not permanent and that my new sunglasses should be in soon.[8D]

Yeah, but if you can’t see it at 20k ft, then it won’t get your attention[:D][:D]
Looks great, swammy. I shudder at the thought of trying something like that.

Awesome Swanny… very creative…I love the speculation schemes.

WOW…thanks for the warning, its pretty bright. It looks great.

Swanny,
Like the camo and the idea. Are you going to make it Japanese or one of their allies?

Wow! It blends-in seamlessly with the wood background! [:p]

Seriously, that must be irritating, putting all of the masking on and everything! Akin to the armor guys and “indy” tracks. [:D] Looks good from here, Swanny!

Vintage Aircraft, this is a development of the J7W1, which was a prop aircraft but only logged 45 minutes of flight time before the war ended. It was intended to be developed with a turbojet engine and that is what I have done - convert from the original prop craft to the J7W2 turbojet.

Phil, this will be done in Japanese markings. Still have not settled on all final details yet.

Everybody else - thanks for the comments. I lay in bed last night and saw jagged white spots floating in my vision, maybe I should go see my optometrist?

awesome swanny. another masterpiece.

Wow! That paint job has got to take center stage on the mantle. I think it’s going to show up all your other builds there Swanny. I look forward to seeing it finished. Man, that paint scheme…

would like to have seen that one do a high speed low pass…

sharpe Swanny…indeed !!!

(Flightline Decals produced a 48 scale sheet of black splinters for the perported NAA experimental dazzle scheme for an nmf mustang) ( i think it was nmf)

Wierd but wonderful. Nice painting.
