After my meeting I went looking for the C. A. Thayer. The spar yard had been dismantled and turned back into a parking lot.
She’s been put back in the water.

Hi,
In my daytime job as a naval architect I had a chance to actually do a little work on that ship in preparation for her “rehabilitation”, and I also had a chance to tour it while partially rebuilt in the hangar. Its interesting to see her now. Thanks for sharing the pics.
So I went looking for the Thayer after my meeting today. She’s been rigged and is in the outer basin.
Next week I’ll go on board and get some photos.
