Hi Christopher, my Lord what you must have experienced.
My case is a bit different. I had opaque cataracts on both eyes and the lenses had to be replaced since they were also compromised.
The left eye was previously prepared to remove some nasty spots on the front. That was the really fastidious one, since the surgeon had to scrape them off and I could feel the tool touching my eye.
Strangely enough, the right eye healed almost immediately and did not cause much trouble after the operation, while the left one takes much longer to heal.
Of course I take the eyedrops prescribed to me on a programmed basis, but if I didn’t have an aspirin nearby I would feel the pressure in it.
The ophthalmologist who examined me the next day said that the pressure was absolutely normal, but that I had to return to her after one week and then after one month just to be on the safe side.
Well, the pressure (the one I really feel) only recedes after having taken my aspirin. Of course I do not overdo it, and indeed some of the pressure I felt the first days is slowly receding.
Concerning an improvement I am slowly reacquiring my normal eyesight, but on a high note, I can now read what I write without the help of eyeglasses.
Still, I cannot strain my left eye too much as yet, since it starts then to hurt a little bit and tearing up (my right one, as you know, was compromised at birth).
So, the only solution is to have patience and wait until all the side effects will be gone.
And to you, I really hope that those were the last surgeries you ever had performed on your eyes and that they now have healed completely.
Thank you so much for enquiring on my status, but as I said, only time will tell. I am sure that in the end everything will be fine.
After all, in this life one must be an optimist if he wants to survive, don’t you think?
