To the German armor experts.... Dragons Tiger I late version...

am i missing something here or what. how come theirs no idler arm on front on the left side of the hull, but in the way back, the last one theirs one there, but on the other side theirs an idler arm all the way in the front but none in the way back? any of you know what im talking about?

I think you’re referring to the torsion bar suspension for the roadwheels. The idler is the rearmost wheel which maintains track tension. The offset roadwheel arms is just how the designers made everything fit. It’s not that uncommon

As Roy mentions, the design of the torsion bar system for the suspension required that the torsion bars be staggered one side to the other, which is what produces what you are seeing. It’s normal and part of the actual vehicle design. The first time I encountered that with a Tiger I remember scratching my head too thinking I’d done something wrong with the installation! [(-D]

Right on. I’ve built a dozen or so Tigers in the past, and I’m building Dragon’s late version now. Definitely a difficult and sometimes confusing kit, but it’s one of the best on the market, in my opinion.

The torsion bars are offset, like the guys above mentioned. It doesn’t look right while you’re installing them, but it is correct.
