Am building AFV Club’s F-5F, and it is a very nice kit. Instructions are not great, but with enough dry fitting I can figure it out. Very happy with the kit and my progress so far. Now I am having problems with the fit of the canopy to the fuselage.
In the past I have tried using white glue diluted down some with water, and it works to a point, but I always end up with a concave line where I have done the filling. I have used putty as a filler, going over it with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol I get much the same result. Using putty and then sanding, I always mess up the canopy hitting it with the sand paper or sanding stick.
How do you all deal with this?
I can split the difference between the two sides, and the fit is slightly better, but still an issue.
I recommend this kit. This is the first real issue I have had with it. Some filling and sanding, but very good fit for the most part.
Many thanks for any input!
