Tip for scale radio wires & antennae

Recently I was at work helping out with building up a robot installation in the workshop for testing. At a certain point I was holding a stretch of motor cable. These cables are for three phase 430 volt electric motors. These wires are also shielded. I had to strip a section to plug into a frequency inverter and ended up holding a handful of metal wires which were each slightly thicker than a strand of human hair. I think the shielding in a co-ax cable (y’know, for cable tv…) has a similair guage wire shielding woven around it (both look similair to a braided hose for hydraulics)…

Just thought you’de might like to know…

Good tip! Fine music wire also works real well. It’s stiff enough to stand up straight, but flexible enough to bend back and tie down.
