Tigermeet ????

QUESTION: What is the Tigermeet? I recently got a Revell catalog and quite a few of the kits had this tigermeet theme to them. They were all pretty elaborately painted (mostly tiger striped) and looked pretty cool. It seemed like it was a international airshow theme or something. Is this a real thing? If so has anyone ever built one of these kits to the paint specs. or is it just a big decal? Also if it is real where is it held? I think it would be a cool show to go to.

Thanks,

Chris

I bought couple of weeks a go Revell Tornado Tigermeet 2001/2002 1:32 (picture below)

I didn’t start to do it yet because I’m still looking for few parts for that.

This camouflage of plane was made by German squadron they use to paint plane nearly every year if I’m not wrong. Anyway there is a good web-site for that Tornado so you can have a look on that if you are interested and hope you will like so we can exchange info about building

Basically, it is an air meet where squadrons compete in different aspects of their trade. Gunnery, Navigation, low-level. Stuff like that. The major requirement for this competition though is that your squadron emblem must contain a Tiger, hence the “Tiger Meet”.

Thanks for the info fellas. Wish I could get to one of those meets. Don’t think the wife would condone it though.[sigh]

Polok good luck with that paint job.
