Okay, thanks to Ron George and Eric Rush, I think I have this under control. Attached are the photos I want your opinions on. This being the first time Ive ever used my digital camera for this AND the first time Ive ever taken a picture of a tank model, please bear with me…the lighting was horrible.
Please give me your thoughts on the zimmerit and the camouflage colors.
I think it’s a nice model looks very accurate in camouflage and zimmeret patterns .But I think it needs more weathering ,for it could look like its giving hell in the Russian front or whinny French front .You now what I mean [;)]
Hey citadel. The Zimmerit looks well done. Screw Driver method, with epoxy putty? As for the camo, it is kind of hard to tell by the photos as the flash seems to be on and it washed out the color a bit. Weathering and some drybrushing will really bring out that detail.
Thanks for the compliments. Weathering has yet to begin. I still have the left tracks to piece together and then the pastels come out and the fenders start bending.
I was most concerned about the zimmerit. It was my first attempt…and yes, screwdriver method with Squadron white putty…wow. Was it THAT obvious?! lol Honestly though, I really appreciate ya’ll taking the time to critique it.
Once Im done with the weathering (hopefully this week) I will get an actual ‘light’ source other than my camera flash and send in some new pics.
Once again, thanks for the comments. From this forum it means alot. I mean, sure the girlfriend might think it looks great, but what does SHE know? ha
Nice looking work Sean. The Zimmerit looks excellent and the camo is very good.
Looking forward to your future posts of this beast once you have weathered it.
Once you have eliminated the flash from the pics they will improve.
