Tiger I Zimmerit ( VL./Tamiya ) Which Tiger does it fit?

I have VL. 1843 zimmerit /metal details for Tiger 1 . Which Tamiya Tiger I are the VL. parts to fit? The parts replacement instructions do not match my old Tamiya kit 156. Are the VL parts designed to fit Tamiya 216 or is there another Tamiya kit for these parts? Is one size of Tam. zimmerit designed to fit all tamiya I kits?

35216 is an early Tiger I, before factory zimmerit was used on the Tigers. The 35227 dak kit doesn’t require it either. There is a 35194 kit for a mid version (there is also a limited edition rebox with Otto Carius figure set) that you can put zimmerit on but it shares the same lower hull and a major part of the sprues with the 156 kit. All the other 89### packagings uses the same 156 kit sprues with extra goodies so there is no difference there. Therefore, your best bet is to visually id the parts and replace them accordingly.
