Tiger 1 fans, most accurate early tiger 1 ?

Who makes the most accurate early Tiger 1? The extra doodads that come with the kit are nice but not that important to me. I have only built Tamiya Tigers before and have not seen the various brands of tigers together to make a comparison of how accurate they are. Your opinions are important. Thanks, Greg.

IMO, Dragon makes the most accurate initial Tiger I (those tanks sent to Leningrad area) and Tamiya makes the most accurate early Tiger I. By all means you should get one (or two) of the DML initial Tigers. They are more than worth the cost of the kit.

I read that the AFV Tiger I Late might be more accurate than Dragon’s. Time will tell, but as far as the kit goes, Dragon’s seems to offer more perks.

I built theTamiya the Italeri and the Academy they all offer something in accuracy the other dont.I really like the academy my self. But the new Dragon early tiger-1 kits are going to be the most accurate tiger so far.The AFV late tiger looks very accurate from what I seen of it.Just have to wait to see the late dragon kit.

Without a doubt Dragon make the best early model Tiger … the Tamiya offerings are quite sound dimensionally, but lack a lot of the smaller details such as the prominent weld seam on the turret roof, and the early Tiger 1 Afrika needs a bit of correction.

The AFV Club kits is good value, but once again skimps of the smaller details.

So far I have been unable to fault anything about Dragon’s Leningrad Tiger.

I have the Dragon Tiger Initial, and you get tons of stuff in it (PE and stuff) and its cheaper than Tamiyas

Thanks guys. I want to build Ottos early Tiger 1 and planned to use Abers K01 PE set on it. So the results are Dragon best because of the extras and Tamiya is demonsionally more accurate? Are there any desenters?

you need to wait for the mid Tiger from Dragon (no details yet)
there bringing out an early production kit number 6269 (Carius had one when he was almost killed when his cupola was shot off)

Tamiya is the best but they are two version a initial and a early version . The initial version is frm 502 leningrad and the early one is in africa desert i guess is 501 .But i suggest the best is tamiya due to the exhaust pipes is easier to assemble than academy …
