Thunder over Michigan 2012 (Pictures)

Went to the airshow the beginning of August. Lots of good flying. Plenty of warbirds. The disappointing thing was a lack of participation by the current military. There were no flybys or demonstrations by the few aircraft that did show up. I shot over 800 pictures, so I am trying to pick the better ones and post them. As I complete an album, I will try to post it.

I was surprised by the Privateer. I thought the side blisters just gave the gunners a better view. Turns out they are turrets.

Thanks, Wayne. Looks like a great show. The PB4Y-2 looks like it has the Coast Guard nose.

It is an excellent show. This is the third year in a row that I have gone. Pictures from those shows are here in my albums. I still have to go through the fighters, jets and helicopters. There were 17 P-51’s at the show.

I also have pictures of German and American tracks from the ground battle for the armor guys.
