Well, these are three of the five Helicopters I just finished. The rest I can’t take pictures of because they are too big for my camera to take clear pictures of.
The first is my 1/72 scale Japanese OH 6 Cayuse:
Then I finished my 1/72 scale British Westland Scout:
and finally, I also finished this 1/72 scale French Sa 342 Gazelle, after having it sit for a year and a half on my workbench:
I couldn’t find anything to fit in the small areas to weight down the nose, so it sat there until I picked up a tip in these Forums: I used the soft lead fishing weights that I was able to cut and mold into the small areas under the cockpit and inside the control console. Now it finally sits right!
Great work on the choppers, Duke. You make me think of doing one of those again(have built about five of them already before I fell in love with the Darkside).
Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the comments. It feels good to have my work appreciated by such auspicious modelers!
I would have logged in earlier, but I was getting the same error message about the Page no longer existing. Thank goodness I had a couple of old E-mails of topic notifications that got me in to the Forums. Now I modified my Links to go straight to the Forums entrance and bypass the Main Page.
Once I get photos of the Australian UH 1B Huey that I finished with the above kits, I’ll post them here too.
