Someone over at Ebay is winning a bid on a new Badger Crescendo kit at $81.70 plus $7.95 shipping.
That same set is $69.95 from Dixie Art with FREE shipping. [(-D]
It amazes me that with all that can be researched on the internet, people still pay more for something on Ebay than they can get elsewhere from a company that stands behind what they sell for less money. [2c]
Dixie Art saved me over $50 on my Paasche VL set compared to what I would have paid locally. Free shipping and fast service too! I would highly recommend them.
This same airbrush set is $94 from Dixie with free shipping.
When the person that wins this auction sees Dixie’s price they are going to do this: [banghead] [(-D]
I have had my suspisions about this same topic for a long time. In talking to regular ebay buyers it seems they get caught in a bidding war or as some have put it going for the kill or maybe they might see it as some sort of control or not wanting to lose. Anyhow the buyers must have more money then smarts. Give me convenience or give me death!
It is not that easy everytime you retract a bid a record is kept and is part of your ratings, and you need to justify as to why you retracted a bid.
Also many put automatic bidding on and the system will add bids till they reached their preset limits.
If you read the terms careful for auctions E-Bay got the bidders pretty much by the short and curly and it is hard to rectify mistakes or back out of bids without hassles.
