Those darn russian lakes part two, a CHALLENGE.

Ok, its been lots of fun looking thru this website and i have found some amazing stuff. So what can you find that doesn’t fit the mold. I found a hetzer with a muzzle brake, and a British Mark 4 female? that it appears the russians used during the invasion to limited success.

Here is the website, follow the pictures down and happy hunting.

[:D]great site, they find all the good stuff.[:(]

I wish I could read Russian. I’d love to know the story behind that thing.

How does anyone stumble on these things? I’m looking for relics for the company I work in, and I don’t have any idea where to start.

Pantehr turret in fixed fortification

Check out this weird one on a Hetzer style chassis. Looks like the turret could be removed for fixed fortification.

I’m not sure were you’re seeing the Russian involvement here. This is a Czech web site, therefore Czech text, and I don’t see anywhere the mention of Russians finding the tank.

Czech is a slavic language but they don’t use the cyrillic alphabet like Russians do. So reading and understanding Russian won’t do much good on this web site.

Sorry,i was told these were russian links. Oh well, no harm no foul. Still great pictures.

It’s neat to see this stuff rediscovered and restored? and put on display

So much history

awesome finds. that halftrack is a real oddball. I’m surprised they could restore it to the point they did. references must have been hard to find. the panther turret fortification is another neat pick up. It was sitting under a rail line too.

that last link is bizarre. I’ve looked over a lot of variants based on the pz. 38 chasis. I’ve never seen anything like this other than as a prototype. are you sure that turret is even metal? it’s looks a little like a wood mock up.
