Just wondering if the kit quality is good and what flaws in construction there are. I have to decide between this and a Tamiya 1/24 Mustang kit. Thx in advance.

If you like detail,Tamiya is the way to go.Maisto specializes mostly in diecast.So if it is not already built for you,it will be simple enough for a beginner to build but not much detail to go with it.Plus more than likely it will be pre-painted.Hope this helps Later.
It IS prepainted, the body is offcourse metal and the plastic is the soft cheap looking kind that you can’t glue.
The only thing you need is a hobbyknife and a screwdriver, this kit is intended for collectors, not modelers.

If you’re a serious modeller, stay away from these die cast 1/18 scale kits. They’re great for kids to play with, but as a serious model, they leave a lot to be desired.
