I can’t say I’ve tried them all,but this is the best liquid cement I have used.Bonds really quick.The floor of the BT5 I’m working on was very warped.This stuff bonded it to the hull sides anyway.Just a few seconds,no sweat.Just thought I’d pass it along.

I recently began using this stuff too. Perfect for long seams on a fuselage and wings because it melts the plastic and almost welds it together so there isn’t much clean up. Good stuff.

Does it come with an applicator?

Yes! This is my favorite glue. It holds just as strong as Tenex and all the others but doesn’t seem to be quite as “hot” as most. You can accidentally leave the cap off overnight and still have some glue in the bottle the next morning… found that out the hard way.

It does come with an applicator brush on the cap, but I usually cut it off and use an old paintbrush. The one included is just too big for most detail work.

Another thing… I’ve heard that the company makes it in relatively small batches, so it periodically becomes difficult to find. I usually buy 3 bottles when I find it.

Does it cost more than 2.69? If so, I’ll stick with Testor’s…

I keep a bottle on my bench along with Tenax & Tamiya extra thin. They all seem to work about the same, but I tend to prefer the Ambroid. I use an old 000 paint brush for application.

Bizarre, I bought some of this stuff on Saturday- it was cheaper than Tenax, and my Tenax seemed to disappear too rapidly. I love the stuff as well. The kit I am working on had the usual gaps in the fuselage, engine nacelle/wing etc, and this solvent made the gap go away with essentially no filler. I wish I started using it earlier.

It’s called Ambroid ProWeld. Comes in a 2 oz. glass bottle with a white, blue and orange label.

Hey, thanks. I know the product and have been using it for years. It is Good Stuff!!! The folks at Micro-Mark offer a product called “Same Stuff” which is supposed to be equal to the Ambroid product, but much less expensive. I’ve ordered some and will let y’all know how it does.
