thinking about buying a chopper. . .

I’m starting to get into a little scratchbuilding, and I’ve been hearing for some time about how handy a “chopper” is. The LHS has a Northwest Short LIne one for about $23.

My question, for anyone who happens to own one, is: are these things really as good as I’ve heard? Is that a reasonable price for one?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

I’ve owned one for years and really like it. And your price doesn’t sound bad.

My question is what does the thing do? Sorry about the stupid question…Mog

It kinda resembles a proffesional paper cutter…it has a small grid on it, and you can line up the piece of styrene you want to chop, and then it chops it in a nice straight even line…this is what I 've heard, as I don’t own one myself, but will buy one in a couple of weeks.
