think outside the box

If your just finishing your newest Tiger/P51/etc. For your next project try thinking outside the box. It can give you a whole new perspective and give a boost to your flagging enthusiasm. Try a half model mounted on a display base on the wall. A couple of years ago I turned out some kits just for fun, such as>>>>
An Italeri Truck and Flatbed trailer which was painted all black.I got some figures and made a tissue paper canvas cover for the flatbed. Pretty standard but when you removed the cover, underneath was the Halcyon kit of the ESCAPE POD from Alien 2. All I needed was a black helicopter to finish the scene. Another was a DML Spruance class destroyer waterlined with a museum model of the supposed Loch Ness monster. My nephew loved that one. Another was a Japanese Vinyl T-Rex up against an M1 Abrams. No research no photo etch just let your imagination fly.[:D]

imagination???

i think i have one of those, not sure after 16 years in groc. will have to check in my spares box. or maybe the closet?

Years ago I saw a 1/16 Tiger splashing out of a river, lookes real nice. When you turned it around it was cutaway with full interior from bow MG to exhaust pipes.

Along those lines, two Long Island figures shows ago, someone had a model on a lazy susan. On one side, was an ancient statue in pristine condition. Turn the lazy susan and jump forward 5000 years to the same scene, now a ruin coverd in vines.
