thin camo /lines compressor or the airbrush?

What is the exclusive (if there is such thing) element behind making snake / dots/ scribing/ crazy multi colored camouflage patterns the compressor at very low pressures or a very fine tip? i was told both versions by people trying to sell the respective product…(200$ each) so before i waste a big chunk of my monthly income i want to know…

Low pressure, a #1 tip and needle and skill in the hands of the person holding the airbrush is all that is needed.
Drop the pressure down to 10 lbs or so, thin the paint to the consistancy of mik, strain the paint through a piece of women’s nylons and practice, practice, practice. [;)]

Also, get close. With my Iwata I can get lines that I’d have to sharpen a pencil to get as thin. But that’s with almost touching the model and minimal paint.
