These Sotar tips are small

I was curious if you guys have ever seen the tips for the Sotar airbrush or not?
I am sure some of you have, but for the rest I took this picture to show you how small these micro-tips really are. This is a fine Sotar tip next to an Omni tip for comparison.

These are $26.25 at Dixie Art so I would hate to drop one in the carpet. [:0] [;)]

Wow, that is little bitty. And a might pricey as well. Do you have plans for the Sotar Mike? Going to paint something you can show us here? More test spray comparisons you can show us? I love this kind of thing, sometimes I begin to suspect that I’m an information junkie.

looks alot like the HP-CS’s micro tips. definetly a challenge to change out for my big fingers!! a carpet monster’s dream too!!LOL later.

I also struggle at times with the tips for my japanese brushes, those little spanners really help too.

Got a few spares spanners(mostly Tamiya but they are the same anyway).

Do you see the Vargas girl in my posts?
I painted that with the Sotar. Yeah right!

I will try and get some tests done with it to see how it does.
I may have to use some different paints though to get them through this little tip. [:D]

Mike

HArd to tell from the picture, but I really don’t think it’s any smaller than the actual nozzle of the Badger 200. That one is tiny, tiny and will easily fit inside an Omni nozzle.

Chris,

The Sotar is easier to change than the Iwatas as this tip just drops in and is locked into place by the holdown ring. It is pretty cool.

Mike

very inovative. the threaded micro tips are sometimes a booger to get started, then there is always the fear of a cross thread. nice job on the Varga girl mikey!!![:p][;)]LOL i once thought of attempting a Varga girl, but never did. i had a whole book of those senuous chics. later.
