by Jim Winchester, published by Barnes & Noble Books, is now on their sale counters for $6.98. It’s a fascinating collection of more than 150 of the “World’s Worst.” Could be the source of a real challenge for creative scratch builders with a sense of the absurd. There are some, BeeGee, F3H, F111, etc., that are available in plastic. Even it you don’t try to build one it’s a fun reference book.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll have to look for it [:)].
Regards, Rick
I wonder if the F-18 is in there?
I’ve got it-and there is also a Worlds Strangest Aircraft available by M. Taylor.
Fun books!!!

I’ve thumbed through it before, it is quite a fun book. Go buy it.
I had a book when i was a youngster… called wierd and wonderful aircraft. I may have to post some pics of some planes!
F-111 ?![:0]
Them’s fightin’ words !
[#ditto]
They’re not too bad as long as I can Final Check 'em![:p] - Calvin
I would say the … wait, what would I say?
that book really sounds interesting!
I’m willing to bet the old Christmas Bullet has a page or two devoted to it
There have definately been some ugly machines thrown together with the very loose description of “airplane.” I would certainly NOT include the F-111 or F-18 either one.

To be brutally honest, the F-111 is to many people, best remembered as an overly-expensive boondoggle. Same thing goes for the B-1, B-2, and Concorde. All became great aircraft, but they will never overcome the stigma of being rarely-used and overly expensive.
It sure does!
