The Thread on reviews.

This was some interesting reading.I do buy aircraft, but, only those someone has built and has given a truthful opinion of said bird. Now,ships, that,s a whole nother ballgame

You might ask why.Well, would you buy ,at todays prices ,a ship that was a real nightmare to get together? Fit of hull halves(if it,s molded that way) fit of the seperate bottom if it gives you the waterline/no waterline choice.

These can be a real dealbreaker for some. Now the other thing is weaponry. In 1/700 or 1/350 accuracy here is important. Not everyone out there can afford the aftermarket goodies, but, wants an attractive and well manufactured kit.

I normally buy the kit I want and the P.E. in one fell swoop. The reason? well, maybe it won,t need all of it.Yes,it,s true, some get by with just the basics. The novice builder would definitely appreciate that. So,he or she needs to know.

Does a biased review help, heck no ! A review based on honesty MUST be the main criteria. If I had to worry about NOT getting another kit, then I definitely would NOT review anything.I did some years ago for the C.A.M.S. club newsletter. They and the subsequent decals have stood the test of time and still look good.Maybe not accurate by todays standards, but a nice build for the novices out there.
